BagYap is a real-time voice chat platform for crypto communities. Each token has its own voice room where holders can talk, share alpha, and connect.

How we keep your funds safe

✅ BagYap NEVER asks for transaction approval. We only request read-only access to verify your token holdings.

How Wallet Connect Works

  1. Click "Connect Now" — Opens your wallet (Phantom/MetaMask)
  2. Approve Connection — Wallet asks to share your public address only
  3. We Read Your Tokens — Using public APIs (Helius for Solana) to see what you hold
  4. Display Your Coins — Shows tokens in your wallet to select from

What We CAN See

  • Your public wallet address
  • Token balances (publicly visible on-chain anyway)
  • Transaction history for hold duration calculation

What We CANNOT Do

  • ✓ Transfer your tokens — requires your signature which we never request
  • ✓ Access your private keys — they stay in your wallet
  • ✓ Approve any transactions — we're read-only
  • ✓ Drain your wallet — impossible without transaction approval

Exclusive rooms for verified holders

Top Holder VC is an exclusive voice chat feature for verified token holders. Only people who actually hold the token can join.

How to Join

  1. Click "👑 Top Holder VC" in the navigation
  2. Connect your wallet (Phantom for Solana)
  3. We automatically detect coins in your wallet
  4. Click on any coin you hold to join its Top Holder room

Benefits

  • Verified Holders Only — No fakers or paper hands
  • Hold Duration Shown — See how long each person has held
  • Better Conversations — Talk with real community members
  • Separate from Public — OG rooms are distinct from public rooms

🔥 Top Holder rooms show a 👑 badge and gold styling to distinguish from regular rooms.

How to use the mic and audio

Mic Controls

  • 🔴 Red (Muted) — Your mic is off, others can't hear you
  • 🟢 Green (Live) — Your mic is on, you're broadcasting
  • Click to Toggle — Tap the mic button to switch between muted/live

Speaker Controls

  • 🔊 Speaker On — You can hear others talking
  • 🔇 Speaker Muted — Audio is muted on your end

Tips

💡 When someone is talking, their name glows in the user list so you know who's speaking.

Vote to Kick

Community moderation system

Keep rooms clean with community-powered moderation. If someone is being disruptive, the room can vote to remove them.

How It Works

  1. Hover/tap a user in the room list
  2. Click "Vote Kick" button
  3. A vote starts — everyone sees a banner
  4. Users vote KICK or KEEP
  5. After 30 seconds, votes are counted
  6. Majority wins — if more vote KICK, user is removed

Rules

  • Minimum 3 users — Need at least 3 people to start a vote
  • Majority wins — More than half must vote KICK
  • Target can't vote — The person being voted on can't participate
  • 60s cooldown — Wait 1 minute between votes
  • Permanent ban — Kicked users can't rejoin that room

⚠️ If the vote target leaves during voting, the vote is automatically cancelled.

Token Rooms

How room creation works

Every token has its own voice room based on its contract address. Rooms are created automatically when someone joins.

Finding a Room

  • Search by name — Type token name to search (uses DexScreener)
  • Paste contract address — Direct lookup for any token
  • Works on any chain — Solana, ETH, BSC, Base, etc.

Room Features

  • Dynamic theming — Room colors match the token's logo
  • Token info — Shows name, symbol, and image
  • User count — See how many are currently yappin
  • Copy CA — Click the contract address to copy it

Sharing Rooms

Share a direct link to any room by adding the CA to the URL:

FAQ

Common questions answered

Why can't anyone hear me?

Make sure your mic is green (Live). Check that your browser has microphone permission enabled for BagYap.

Is my wallet safe?

Yes! We only request read access to see your public address and token balances. We never ask for transaction approval or access to move funds.

Can I rejoin after being kicked?

No. Once voted out, that username is banned from that specific room. Use a different name to rejoin.

Why do I need to connect wallet for Top Holder VC?

To verify you actually hold the token. This keeps the room exclusive to real holders, not people pretending.

Is there a mobile app?

BagYap works in any mobile browser. For wallet features, open the site in Phantom's built-in browser for best experience.

How is hold duration calculated?

We look at your transaction history to find your first purchase of that token and calculate days since then.
